We use the flower heads in a lot of our teas, simply because it is so nurturing and can help numerous conditions.Firstly, the flowers are contain antioxidants which are beneficial compounds that help neutralise the harmful effects of oxidative stress in your body. These antioxidants include flavonoids, triterpenes, polyphenols and carotenoids.Secondly, the plant has anti inflammatory compounds so great for those who suffer from an overactive inflammatory condition Finally, this plant may also help with skin conditions, ulcers, anti fungal and antimicrobial properties too…so if you fancy trying any flower at all, this is one plant that you can have a little fun with.Try taking this as a tea, steeping it for about 10 minutes in hot water.Add a desert spoon to your bath water and relax for a while as the flower petals help your skin to heal.Add to olive oil or coconut oil, leave to infuse in a glass jar for two to three weeks and then add this infusion to your skincare products or hair
